Bella Kitchens and Cabinetry is a New Zealand owned and operated family company, employing highly skilled and qualified designers and craftspeople.

Bella uses locally sourced products and provides a complete design to install service Auckland-wide from their Silverdale workshop. The team can work with your chosen tradespeople or arrange subtrades on your behalf and project manage the job for you.

Owners Dave and Cathie Whitehead started Bella as an offshoot of their building company Lifebuilt Construction. Bella Kitchens and Cabinetry was named after their first daughter - the name Bella means “beautiful”. Dave is an LBP and a member of NZCB.

1. Concept Building

Turning your dream into design

At your free initial consultation a Bella designer will meet with you to discuss your ideas, needs, and preferences. Bring rough measurements, inspiration images, and photos of the space you are working with. From this meeting, the Bella team composes a concept design and we invite you back to Bella to view this initial design and discuss any further ideas.

A concept quote will be provided based on this initial design. 

The cost for concept design is 1% of the concept price, however if you proceed to build with Bella Kitchens and Cabinetry, this cost is included in your deposit.

2. Concept development

Fine tuning the design

5% deposit due

The design is developed further and the quote adjusted as changes are made

Detailed working drawings are created with your input. Your installation date will be booked and a Bella cabinetmaker will measure your site once the design is finalized we are ready for manufacturing at Bella’s workshop. Alternatively you could choose to go with another cabinet maker. The 5% payment gives you ownership of the developed design. The concept is developed, getting it perfect for you and ready for manufacturing.

Sign off – 40% progress payment due

At the signoff meeting, you and your Bella designer Once this process is complete, your Bella designer will discuss all elevations, plans, and specifications with you before you sign off. Your signed plans are then handed over to Bella’s Production Manager for manufacturing, which takes around 3 weeks depending on complexity.

3. Delivery and Installation

Your beautiful new cabinetry is complete

50% progress payment due

The assembled cabinets have been custom made and will now be ready for delivery. The cabinetry is delivered and installed once payment is received. At this point the cabinets can be viewed within our workshop if the client chooses.

Completion – 5% final payment due

Once installation and final adjustments are complete, Bella is finished onsite and you will receive your Bella 10 Year Warranty.
